True friend

Today, I want to write about my friend who taught me a lesson. Recently, I have received an e-mail from my friend. It’s been 9 months since we met last year. Even though we haven’t met often, she and I had kept in touch continuously, until the last summer. After last summer, however, she had not replied to my text messages, kakao talk, and not answered the phone as well. I thought that she decided to study really hard because we had talked about the difficulties of her major studying in our last meeting. After reading the e-mail, I realized it was a totally wrong guess.

She had been in hospital for such a long time due to a car accident! I was really shocked by reading that part of her e-mail. And she explained why she couldn’t reply to my text messages, and apologized. She has also suffered from depression. It was me who she contacted for the first time after leaving the hospital. She wrote that she wanted to meet me soon after recovery. I was sad and felt so sorry for her. And I blamed myself for complaining about my daily life as well as not taking care of her. By the time I received the e-mail, I often complained about my daily life and circumstances around me, etc. However, her e-mail changed my attitude of seeing my life. I have to appreciate my everyday life, my health, my friends and parents, etc. Everything looks so natural. But I can’t live well without them. And even some hard works which I don’t want to do can be what my friend or some other people want to do. In short, she gave me a true lesson of having a positive mind.
