Counseling

My tutoring student came to me and said that her parents were divorced. This was not the first time that my close person’s parents were divorced. Every time I heard this kind of story, I wondered why this happened. I found that most common and typical reason is personality differences. It sounds cliché, but it is an undeniable fact indeed. The personality differences come from the different lifestyle and backgrounds of both parties. Another reason is a financial problem. It also can be a major reason to get divorced. In fact, my student’s parents were divorced for this reason. Nowadays many married couples have dual incomes. But, most of the income is used in a cost of living. So material needs remain unfulfilled and create discontent in the minds of both the partners. There are lots of reasons more. But, I cannot clearly define those reasons, because divorce is a matter of the couple themselves. However, only one thing that I clearly know is that divorce can be a bad experience not only to the couple, but also to their children. I hope my student overcome this sad situation soon.
