우리 한국 사람들은 ‘convenient’라는 단어를 굉장히 자주 사용합니다.
하지만 한국사람들이 쓰는 경우와 원어민들이 쓰는 경우는 꽤 다릅니다.

그럼 먼저 ‘convenient’의 올바른 쓰임을 먼저 살펴 보겠습니다.

eg1.) The microwave oven you gave me as a birthday present is really convenient. I can use it for heating frozen foods or soup; it can be washed easily and is so light that I can move it conveniently.

‘convenient’는 어떤 특정한 목적(purpose)이나 과정(process)에
유용하거나(useful), 도움이 되거나(helpful), 적합한(suitable)한 특정 사물을 가리킬 때 사용합니다.

eg1)에서 살펴 보면
생일 선물로 받은 오븐(특정사물)이 냉동식품과 수프를 데우는데(특정한 목적)
useful하고 helpful하며 suitable한 것입니다.

그럼 이 문장에 ‘convenient’가 들어갈 위치에 ‘comfortable’이 들어가면 바른 문장일까요?
